Profile

I'm a Cybersecurity Engineering postgraduate working across Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), information security, and risk management — a path that started in mechanical engineering, took me through six years in Latvia, and eventually pulled me toward compliance and risk, where I found the mix of structure and problem-solving I'd been looking for.

Day to day, I support compliance-driven operations — PCI DSS and GDPR compliance, security policies, risk assessment, security controls, and audit support — collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep regulatory requirements practical rather than just paperwork.

Outside of work, I built a phishing and email-header triage agent as a way to understand security threats hands-on, and I'm currently teaching myself AWS and DevSecOps — working through Semgrep, Trivy, Terraform, and core AWS security services like Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty, at a steady, sustainable pace rather than cramming. → See the full learning roadmap

What I'm looking for: a Cybersecurity GRC / Information Security Risk & Compliance role where I can keep growing into cloud risk and security controls.
